My friend, Chester

Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting my high-maintenance friend Chester the Moluccan Cockatoo. Or, if you are one of the few people who visit my blog, you know of him. Anyway, I have found a new home for him. There is a cockatoo sanctuary just north of Seattle, WA that will take him and he will live out the rest of his life there. NO MORE HOME HOPPING!!! He will be in a colony with other Moluccans in a huge aviary where he can chew and mingle and be loud until his little heart is content. They have avian veterinarians to take care of medical issues and he will get fresh food every day... Despite his issues, we have bonded quite a bit. So sad to let him go, but I think/hope he will be happier there.



On the up side... ROAD TRIP!!! Woo-Hoo!
